Slimquick Pure Protein Powder

I’ve been drinking SlimQuick protein shakes one to two times a day for a few weeks now and I must say, it’s quite tasty. The powder is made with Whey Protein and natural ingredients like green tea, sunflower oil creamer, and soy lecithin. It’s available in Double Chocolate and French Vanilla. I got to try the French Vanilla and it’s so delicious! It has a nice, creamy vanilla flavor and kind of reminds me of Slim-Fast.

I love that the powder contains only 1 gram of sugar and 3 grams of dietary fiber, plus 10 grams of protein and 50 mg of calcium. These are the supplement facts that are important to me (low sugar, high protein, and fiber help as well).

Directions and Usage

A scooper is included in the jar and the powder is light, fluffy, and easy to measure. You only need to combine 1 scoop with 4 oz of water and mix for 20-30 seconds in a shaker or blender. Personally, I prefer a blender since I sometimes like to add other things and turn it into a smoothie. I found that berries and yogurt mix really well with the powder. I often even add Acerola powder (Vitamin C) for an extra boost. This powder makes a great base for more complex smoothies too.

You’re supposed to drink a shake in the morning with food and then 6 hours later with an afternoon meal or snack. You shouldn’t exceed two servings within a 24-hour period. Of course, you also should also adhere to a reduced-calorie diet and exercise regularly.


I found it kind of hard to adhere to the “6 hours later” part. First, I have a vampire-type schedule (up all night, sleeping during the day). Second, I don’t always have the luxury of eating the proper amount of meals each day. Sadly, I often skip breakfast altogether (fast-forward to now, and I do this purposely due to intermittent fasting!). 

Some days I only have a nice dinner and snacks throughout the day. I know this is something I need to work on though - eating regularly and having the money to purchase the amount of food needed to eat healthily and regularly.

Final Thoughts

I know that with the proper budget and amount of food, this would work wonders for me. As it stands, I didn’t lose much. I do know that I lost a couple pounds within these few weeks because a skirt I could barely fit into now fits comfortably. So that’s a good thing. 

I haven’t gained any weight either, which is even better. I have PCOS, which makes it even harder to lose weight. So that could also factor into my low weight loss amount (although improper diet and small amounts of exercise are surely the main culprits). Also, the stats are based on 13 weeks of usage. It has only been about 3 weeks for me.

The SlimQuick Pure Protein powder definitely helps me to feel full for longer so I’m not as hungry throughout the day. When I drink it with a meal, I definitely eat less. I absolutely love the taste and love creating smoothies with it. While it’s often hard for me to stick to the two-a-day servings, I have been at least getting one serving a day and feel better internally.
